    The role

    POSITION PURPOSE

    Assists manager in daily operations of the Shuttle department. Responsible for maintaining proper coverage of all routes and ensuring all processes and procedures are followed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    Ensures team provides excellent and timely customer service Payroll administration- approves time and time off request Coordinate with management on scheduling drivers and maintaining proper coverage of all routes.

    Coordinate with management to ensure coverage of phone calls, emails and text messages to ensure the seamless operation of the department.

    Assists manager as directed and performs the manager's duties when the manager is absent. Performs the duties of driver or dispatcher as needed.

    Fosters the Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment.

    Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential associates. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.

    Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.

    Assist with overseeing vehicle maintenance, as well as the coordination of getting vehicles to and from maintenance locations Follows all company, DOT, OSHA, Drug & Alcohol policies and guidelines as required In the event of an accident, it may become necessary for you to go an accident scene and or transport driver for drug testing.

    Performs other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

    Education

    and/or EXPERIENCE.

    Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent Commercial Driver's License (Indiana), Class A or B with a Passenger and Air Brake endorsement and three (3) years of driving experience is required.

    Must be at least 21 years of age due to licensed driving requirements Able to communicate both verbal and written information Proven record of following state and federal motor vehicle regulations Must meet Department of Transportation Physical Standards and Regulations Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.

    Must possess valid DOT medical card.

    Will be required to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and random drug testing PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED equivalent Prefer experience within transportation field Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    DECISION MAKING

    Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured. Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.
