    Reports to

    General Manager Cargo Commercial Drive transformation across Cathay Cargo as part of a multi-year change journey spanning the full breadth of the business. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects across both Commercial functions, including Sales, Sales Support, Distribution, Revenue Management and Partnerships, and Service Delivery functions covering hub and network operations, safety and compliance, customer experience and partner management. From project initiation through to benefits realisation, you will define scope, establish governance, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful business adoption.

    Working across Cargo, Digital, Information Technology, Finance, Safety & Compliance, Legal and external partners, you will bring together diverse stakeholders to deliver outcomes on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Success requires balancing operational continuity with transformation goals while applying structured project management disciplines, agile delivery approaches and effective change management practices.

    You will play a key role in shaping how Cargo evolves, identifying opportunities to improve performance through new ways of working, automation and artificial intelligence while helping teams navigate change with confidence. Your work will contribute directly to the long-term success and competitiveness of Cathay Cargo.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead transformation projects from initiation through delivery and benefits realisation across Cargo Commercial and Service Delivery functions Establish and maintain project governance, plans, budgets, reporting frameworks and controls in line with recognised project management and Project Management Office standards Identify, assess and manage project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, escalating significant concerns where appropriate Develop business cases and project proposals, including funding, resource and delivery requirements across all project phases Prepare and present project updates, performance reports and decision materials for Steering Committees and senior management Engage and align senior stakeholders across Cargo, Digital, Information Technology, Finance, Safety & Compliance, Legal and external partners, including Ground Handling Agents and vendors Ensure projects are designed and delivered with safety, security and regulatory compliance as core considerations, engaging relevant subject matter experts when required Drive business readiness, adoption and change management activities to support successful implementation and sustained outcomes Apply agile and pragmatic delivery approaches that balance operational stability, service continuity and project objectives Coach and support project team members and vendors while promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

    Requirements

    Degree qualification in Business, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience Minimum 8 years' experience with a proven track record in project or programme management Professional project management certification preferred, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects across commercial and operational environments Ability to manage multiple medium-to-large projects concurrently Strong knowledge of project delivery lifecycle, change management, benefits realisation, vendor management, and transition/cutover planning Understanding of air cargo commercial and service delivery operations, including safety, security and regulatory considerations, is an advantage Proven experience applying agile project delivery methodologies Strong stakeholder management, influencing and change leadership skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently, perform under pressure, and coach or develop others.
